Need the best advice!

Hey guys i recently just sold my old amd pc parts... mobo, cpu and rams. Now i wanna get an upgrade but i can't decide between intel i5 or ryzen 1600x. Its strictly for gaming i dont do video editing, after adding up the parts prices for both, intel is a little bit higher but not by much.anyways i have watched tons of reviews and i see that intel i5 cpu is not really that much better than ryzen on many games that were tested ryzen even beating the i5 in a few games, but seeing that intel is much more optimized for gaming but for ryzen on the other hand is great on price for performance so what do you guys recommend?

at the price tag now, I recommend the Ryzen, more games in the future will utilize more threads, and that's where i5 is lacking, also while u say u don't do productive work with it, u might want to still buy it if u're thinking of doing some streaming in the future, more cores means more multitasking. u don't have to get the X version if u're on a budget, the normal 1600 are OCable and comes with a stock cooler too so it might save u few more $
