Hello guys I want to over clock my i3 540 using my Intel dh55pj motherboard it doesn't allow me to change the multiplier of the CPU but allows to change host clock frequency ( I think its called Fsb).
Its base value is 133 MHz. If I increase it then the ram frequency also changes. Thats not a problem I can lower the ram multiplier. But I want to ask that can it damage my HDD and ram . I have read posts where people say that increase fsb clock overclock sata speed and pcie speed as well.

Solution
That's how oc was usually done pre sandy bridge. It wasn't til then that it was connected to sata, pcie, etc. You're fine.
