I bought a budget rig for my first gaming pc and I'm looking at what to upgrade first.

I have a i5 7400
8 gbs of ram
1tb hdds
Gtx 1050
500 w power
I'm trying to play on high or very high and I'm only getting 30 frames... I'm also looking to get into vr. Am I going to have to do a rebuild or am I missing a few key pieces?

Your power supply may or may not have to be replaced and your graphics card will have to be upgraded.

Agree with kanewolf. The 1050 can only game at a mix of medium and high (depending on game) at 1080p. The 1050ti can do better but if your budget permits you would benefit from a 1060. And if course you would need more juice. I recommend budget wise a 1060 with a 750w PSU for when you want to put a beefier card and CPU in down the road

Yeah I am looking at a 1080 so I am going to have to do psu aswell
