hi there guys. just a minute ago i tried powering on my pc and i heard the fans come on but the monitor didnt... also there was no loud initial fan noise like there usually is. i have a old graphics card which has sat around unused in cupboard for goodness knows how long so i assume this is the issue. also coincidentely it happned after i has to restart my computer because a steam game wasnt responding. im assuming its a card issue and not a mobo one.

let me know what you think!

Solution
Model of Graphics Card?

Remove the graphics card and hook up your monitor to the mobo directly and see if it works. Your card might have bad thermal paste on it and will need a cleaning. Once you do that, it should work fine. Make sure you have the right card drivers.
