Hello!

I recently saw this video where the youtuber used tape to overclock his Q6600 with tape, It's not much of an overclock BUT everything we can squeeze from these older CPUs is good.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rsFVg3s3G0

I have a Q6600 on my Dell Optiplex and I have another Dell Optiplex (the 755, a bit newer) which I put a Q9400 in and my question is if I can use this "tape mod" to squeeze some more GHz of it.

I'm going to reinstall Windows so reinstalling it with an overclock should be awesome!

Thanks in advance!

:)

Hard to say unless you try. But yeah people used to either cover pins or jump pins in order to get specific multipliers.
