m2 screws too short??

Hey guys, i've been trying to install a m2 solid state drive for a while now and it's driving me ****ing crazy. No matter what, I can't get the screw to screw down. The one that came with the mobo, which is a tomahawk arctic b350 or something. This is driving me nuts. I'm sure i inserted the ssd correctly. Any ideas?

Find screws that will thread and tighten with NO SSD in place. There may be multiple screws of the same diameter and different lengths that came with the motherboard. Maybe you used the SSD screw(s) for the case standoffs.
