I'm nearly done with my first build, and have started up my computer only for VGA error led to light up when I turn it on. I am currently awaiting the arrival of my gpu, and have plugged the HDMI cable into the motherboard. I have borrowed a gtx 1060 from a friend and the system

I am using:

Ryzen 5 1600
Gigabyte GA-AB350-GAMING 3 motherboard
Corsair VENGEANCE LPX 16GB (2x8) 2133 MHz (Borrowed while I wait for my RAM to arrive)

I am still fairly new at this so noob-friendly terms are appreciated.

There is no on board graphics currently on RyZen, those monitor outputs on the motherboard are there for the future release of APUs and currently dont work, you have a VGA LED as you have no graphics card plugged in and will have to wait for that to arrive before you can use your PC, on a plus note, if the VGA LED is on, it means your CPU and RAM have passed all pre tests.

However, if you have your friends 1060, use that, it must have a cable plugged into the monitor output on the graphics card to get past the VGA LED.
