Hello everyone,
so today I decided to go out and buy a gtx 1070 to upgrade my 970. I got one of Kijiji (Canadian craigslist type site) and after getting home I plug it in to my 1440p dvi-d monitor and something I've never seen pops up. I think the best and only way to describe it is its the same thing as when you do a dead pixel test with white black blue red and green all lighting up the screen for 2-3 seconds each. So I go on the Internet and spend 3 hours trying to fix it but nothing happens. I tryed re-seating ram, disabling Intel graphics, clearing CMOS, and using DDU but nothing worked. A couple things to mention: while trying to install nvidia drivers it asks me to restart the pc to complete installation, however after the reset it makes me install them again which leads to another reset and it's a loop. I also used a second monitor with Hdmi and it loaded up to the mobo screen then went black. I have remotr installed which is similar to team viewer so I can confirm that the card works but it's not showing anything on screen.
If anyone has a solution or idea, please post it I will try anything!
Thank you all.

ALRIGHT I managed to get a fix. I plugged the monitor into my Intel graphics, set it to primary boot device from the bios, saved and reset, then shut down plugged in the 1070 and updated my drivers without the loop I was talking about.

Hope this helped someone.
