I need to keep changing which sata port I use to turn my pc on need help

So it happened about 2 days ago when I was cleaning my pc but when I tried to first turn my pc on it would give me the screen where I need to boot up a operating system. After a couple minutes of thought I decided it had something to do with my SSD which I installed my os on. On my first attempt I simply just removed all the things connecting my ssd to my motherboard and plugged it in the same place. The next day I tried again and it booted up the same screen. I had to plug it into a different sata port this time. Need help

I fixed the problem I had to choose which drive I booted, elementary mistake but I remember doing this when I first built my pc. Didn't know what undid this though.
