Please i really need help!

When i am downloading a game of steam my internet connection will drop and then my PC will hard freeze. I cant move my mouse and my keyboard and i cant CTRL+ALT+DEL the only way to make it work is to press the power button on the PC. Please help me i am not the best with computers and this is an issue for me i am currently using windows 10 and its up to date and i am using McAfee AV.

Open Event Viewer and look for error codes or warnings just before or at the time of the freezes.

Take your time and explore the logs first. Any given log may report "no entries" but is in fact gathering data. Wait a minute or so to be sure that there is no data.

Rightclicking a log entry will provide more information.

See what you can find.
