Which DDR4 RAM should I get for a Ryzen 5 1600 build? I want 1 x 8 GB.

Can I add more memory later? And what do I need to know about RAM compatibility with my mobo?

It would be nice to know which mobo is yours.

Yes, you can add later, just make sure it is the same model (or has similar speed / latency).
I suppose like other 99% of mobos on earth it supports up to dual channel ram and it is DDR4 - you can upgrade later and only DDR4 will work.

Here are the steps i did:

1. Google "Gigabyte AB350 Gaming 3".
2. Open official MOBO manufacturer's webpage. (http://www.gigabyte.us/Motherboard/GA-AB350-Gaming-3-rev-10#kf)
3. CTRL + F (find in page)
4. Type in "DDR4".
5. Or simply look at the 2nd line of MOBO's specification sheet, it says: "Dual Channel Non-ECC Unbuffered DDR4, 4 DIMMs", which means it supports up to dual channel (two RAM sticks) and single channel will work flawlessly.

Any DDR4 will work whether it is one stick, or two.

I have seen that. What I cannont understand is the native speed and the speed given at the top of every little list. For some RAMs, its given as 3200 and then for them, the native speed is 2133/2400,etc. When I go to the retailer, what speed should I tell him to give me? The native speed or the maximum speed? If I ask for a 2133, will that have a different max speed?

Should I got for 3000Hz then? If I go for something like 2400 and then later get a 3200, will they work together well?
