watercooled my 4790k (no overclock and turbo enabled) yesterday on a ek evo plexi block and last night it was idling at around 40-46 degrees and 30-36 this morning, and playing dead rising 3 today it's going up to 83 degrees which seems way too high for a custom loop on a game which is not very cpu intensive as far as I'm aware.
My 390x gpu which used to idle at 60 (stock cooler no fans running) now sits at 40 and is 58 degrees at load so something isn't right with my cpu block.
I can't see any air bubbles in the block itself or the tubes around it.
Used thermal grizzly paste which came with the block and I feel like I used the correct amount according the ek's manual
Got a 280 and a 360 gts black ice radiators and the flow is correct way and using the proper outlet/inlet ports
Loop is all petg hard-line tubing
Pump-gpu-360rad-cpu-280rad and back to pump is my loop layout
Previously used a 212 evo with bequiet shadow wing 2 fan and used to hit a max on 75 degrees.
Using phanteks evolv atx TG case.
Any ideas what could be causing these temperatures?
