So, I currently have a gtx 1050 but I'm thinking of upgrading. Is it worth upgrading to a 1060 or should I buy a 1070/1080 if I want any REAL upgrade? I'll list the prices in my country for the different cards below. Note that these prices are converted from Swedish KR.

GTX 1060: 3290kr / 342,14€ / 302,75£ / $390,18

GTX 1070: 4 390kr / 456,54€ / 403,97£ / $520,64

GTX 1080: 6190kr / 643,73€ / 569,60£ / $734,11

I know that there's a 1080Ti but I won't list it because I'd never want to spend that much on a GPU.
I'd like to know which of these cards will give me a noticeable enough upgrade to make it worth it.

Choosing a card at least 2 ranks higher on this list will offer good performance increase. 1060 is 3 ranks higher and will offer significant performance over the 1050. Depending on your system configuration the GTX 1060 will often allow ultra/max settings at 1080p resolution.

Currently, its not worth it imo as prices are super high due to crypto-currency mining. Performance-wise it is a good idea, however the costs of the 1060 and 1070 are inflated significantly at the moment.
