So I might get enough money for either a GTX 1050 ti or a x4 880k... Which one should I purchase my current rig has a X4 740 and a GT 730 2GB DDR3.. .Wtih the 1050ti I will have bottleneck, but the biggest letdown of my setup is the gpu, so If I buy the GPU later on I could upgrade it to a 880k... I just don't want to change my motherboard since that can end up quite pricy!

Solution
i say the GTX 1050ti, it can be carried over to your new system later on, upgrading that old CPU isn't really worth it really
(the bottleneck won't be too much of a trouble, even with my pentium bottlenecking me, i can still play with a fine fps, except on CPU intensive games)
Go with the 1050 Ti, it will get bottlenecked here and there with your CPU but still the improvement will be far better than getting another CPU.

Also down the road don't spend on another CPU, not worth it to keep investing on the old FM2 architecture, save until you can go with Ryzen or Intel whichever you prefer.
