Hello, so i've recently made two reddit threads trying to figure out whats going on with my pc,. in one of the threads a few people suspected thermal throttling and in my newest one people say otherwise, I'm totally confused on what the problem is and need a consistent answer or someone to consistently reply because people jsut stop replying and I'm stuck clueless.

Ever since I built my gaming pc, https://pcpartpicker.com/list/9nDB6X
Ive been getting low fps in games like league of legends,
When I go in game I would have 300 fps but then once I go to lane it drops to 250 then once minions spawn it drops to 150 then it just proceeds to go lower over the course of the game, really low. I have a gtx 1080 as you can see above.

I have no idea what the problem may be and tried everything from changing my nvdia settings and windows settings, reinstalling drivers, and such but still nothing.

I don't have much games downloaded yet so this just happens in league as of now.

Heres a screen shot of hwmonitor and the max temp I got in my cpu that people suspected of why it may be thermal throttling, https://prnt.sc/ft7lix

Currently its only 104 C but it was 110 yday, can thermal throttling be the problem ? If not what can
it be please help!

I'm using Dual dvi to get 144mhz on my acer gn246hl monitor.

MSI Afterburner ingame overlay when playing: https://prnt.sc/ft1hym

Does the msi afterburner look fine?

I can provide any other information if needed

HOLY CRAP!!! dude, your temps need to be at most around 90c more preferably 70-80c on the warm side. Yes, you are thermal throttling. your cpu did come with a cooler right? have you made sure that it's connected properly and is running? you did apply thermal paste as well right?
and a screenshot showing the CPU temps is necessary. the screenshot you provided only shows temps for everything else

I'm using the cooler that came with rhe ryzen 5 and I never put thermal paste I think it had pre applied
Also you have any good apps that show cpu temps? I cant find it in msiafterburner or hwmonitor..

uh idk where the other list is and I dont see cpu temp in msi afterburner ahh.....

I thought cputin was it?

I check if I can find where.

You'll want to click on "Sensors" and bring up that list it will show CPU temp for each core and package. *But do it after playing a game to see the maximum temps under load. Or run a CPU benchmark.

Screenshotted whole thing heres both of them since couldnt fit whole thing in 1 screenshot:

was in league of legends custom game

Well you scrolled down past your CPU sensors but it does show your CPU temp under the motherboard and it's only 50C which is normal. Download AIDA64 Extreme and run a Stability Test for about 10-20 mins and see what your max temp is. Upload a screenshot running the test with the sensors of your CPU showing.

What i am seeing is that the max fan speed was at 35% while the temp was at 104 degrees C. That tells me that the fan is locked in at 35% not on auto. Change the setting to auto and no limit besides the 100% natural limit of the fan. That should help out a huge amount. Actually should eliminate your issue all together.

Everything looks fine to me. Max CPU temp is 61C, so no throttling there. One thing though, CPUID shows your RAM is running in single-channel at 2133MHz. You should be in dual-channel at 3000MHz (or whatever the highest stable speed is up to 3000MHz). But that shouldn't cause framerate drops like you are experiencing.

if that isnt the problem any idea what it can be? It seems to spike to 150 - 160 and stay around there or 140 ik it isnt bad fps but still curious to why, I have my monitor in 144mhz its only if like its forcing me to stay around there

Also I notice the few seconds when I am at 250-300 when game starts my character is behind where he suppose to be, for example he runs then catches up
