Looking for a compact keyboard for a decent price

Hey guys,

I am currently using a Razer Deathstalker and don't even know the reason why I am doing it. The only thing I like about this keyboard is how the keys are smooth to press.

I am looking for a low profile compact gaming keyboard, with little to no gap between keys (not like the Deathstalker - its got maybe 2mm between keys), keys smooth to press (who's used the Deathstalker knows what I am talking about) and probably not mechanical - their keys seem to be hard to press, or at least the ones I've tried before. If I am wrong, will definitely also consider a mechanical one. Also don't need any extra keys - won't use them anyway, and they tend to make the keyboard bigger.

I am looking for something in a decent price range, but if it's worth it - will consider spending more money then intended. So sharing all different suggestions will definitely help me!

After a little research, I came up with those:
Corsair K65, CORSAIR GAMING STRAFE, Logitech G810 Orion, Cooler Master MasterKeys Lite, Razer Ornata, SteelSeries APEX M500
Most are mechanical though...

Any impressions?

Don't really know which is best. But I have searched in the past about the Cooler Master MasterKeys Lite and it seems good.

Mechanical switches are definitely the way to go if you can afford any. Which switches did you try?

I have tried a Blackwidow 2013 if I recall correctly and I don't remember the other one.

I am considering a low profile compact one due to my small hands, also the fact I'm used to a low profile and don't like the sound most mechanical make.

I am seriously considering a Cougar 200K now. Seems like a nice budget little keyboard.

If it was for me, I would definitely go with the master keys lite as I really don't like low profile keyboards, that definitely is not the case for you.

Because I don't really have much knowledge about low profile keyboards, I will say that the Cougar 200K is a good choice. Although maybe someone who's a bit more experienced might have a different answer.

Well, I have been waiting for someone's opinion for a few days now and you are the only one actually trying to help, which I really appreciate, so I might just make a final decision and order something, haha. It won't be the Razer Ornata though, because I read enough to convince myself it is just an ordinary membrane keyboard costing as much as a mid-range mechanical one.
Most likely I will go for the Cougar, Apex M100 or the one you recommended. At least the list is getting smaller!

The reason I prefer it to be a low profile keyboard is because my fingers are not so long and when the keys are bigger, it is more exhausting for my hands when using the keyboard. I am sure this won't be the case with all the bigger keyboards and especially with those being mechanical (since they tend to be with bigger keys), but I don't feel like risking it.
