Hello. In advance I want to apologize for my bad English.
At the moment I have this equipment:

  • ■Motherboard: ASUS P8Z77-V LX
    ■CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K (4.2GHz)
■Video card: MSI GeForce GTX 970 Gaming 4GB
    ■Power Supply: OCZ ZS 550W
    ■RAM: Crucial Ballistix Tactical 2x8GB KIT DDR3 (BLT2CP8G3D1608DT1TX0CEU)
    ■Cooler: Zalman CNPS11X Performa
    ■Sound card: ASUS Xonar DG
In games, the CPU utilization is almost always at the maximum, and the video card is only up to 30%.
Q: Does the cooler support the 1551 and will cope with the cooling of overclocked i7-7700K 4.7GHz? And is it worth taking a motherboard with DDR4 and replacing memory, because I want a good reserve for the future. Or the gain will be insignificant? I plan to put ASUS PRIME Z270-K (because a PCI sound card), Corsair Vengeance LPX Red 2x8GB DDR4 PC4-21300 [CMK16GX4M2A2666C16], Intel Core i7-7700K with overclocking to 4.7GHz.
Another thought about the ASUS PRIME Z270-A, supposedly there is better and more stable overclocking. But there is no PCI slot, and I do not know if it's worth overpaying for it in my case. And the power supply unit should ideally be enough?
If there is an offer better than this, then advise please.

Solution
That difference should you google. Like one vs the other. You have to have good headphones and good hearing to probably hear that difference and have the two soundcards in a system to make a good evaluation.

What games do you play since that gtx 970 only get's used for up to 30% and the cpu does all the work? This imo shouldn't happen.
You play on low res?

My first and cheapest solution would be to get a good used 3770K,but if you want to upgrade all is what you look at good.

Game - Revelation. Is not that a big difference in the performance of 3770K and 7700K? This and this confirms. And if you choose the option with 7700K, what kind of motherboard will be better and more affordable, since the problem with the PCI sound card. And I bought the RAM half a year ago. I do not think that there is any sense in such a global substitution.

Is there any difference in the sound between Realtek ALCS1220A and Asus Xonar DG? I'm interested in the background noise of the microphone and the volume, since I have 80 ohm headphones. If there is no difference and no distortions, then I would not bother and took ASUS PRIME Z270-A.
