New Build will not post, natta. I'm at wits end, this new build includes; Rosewil case galaxy3, mobo is a new ASUS Prime B350M-A, Processor is AMD Ryzen 5 1600x (AM4 socket), Corsair vengeance LPX 4x5GB 3200MHz, corsair H60 liquid cooler, Thermaltake 700w PS, two SATA HD where one has an OS, and a PCIe WIFI/Bluetooth card.

Assembled all the above with peripherals. Push power button on case and nothing happens and no fans. The power led is on. No post action seen or heard. Tried:
-checked all primary connections were solid, still no go
-removed graphics card, reconnected to onboard video, still no go
-changed PS to a known good PS, still no go
-disconnected all peripherals, still no go
-went to one mem stick, still nothing
-breadboarded mobo, minimal power connections but no post in this mode either, ruling out short situation I would think.

Right now I'm suspicious of the mobo switch but that not sure how to short the connections, never done that before to see if now in breadboard, maybe the switch is bad. I'm hoping for a fix but if that is not it, I see no way out but to return the mobo xxx is that right?

Many other things I could do if I could get it to post. Any Help?

Reconnected to onboard? The Ryzen has no onboard. Make sure your monitor is connected to one of the video card's DVI, HDMI, or DP ports. Not plugged into the mother boards. AMD hasnt launch there APU's that use those yet.

Try unplugging from wall and remove the motherboard batter for 5 minutes. Then pull battery back in and test.

Yes, that is what I meant, I reconnected the DVI video cable to the onboard DVI port in the mobo but ruling out the Graphics Card did not change the situation. No post. Are you saying the Ryzen processor with this mobo, I should only use a Graphics Card?

You said "Try unplugging from wall and remove the motherboard batter for 5 minutes. Then pull battery back in and test."

Ok Elbert, tried unplugging ps for more than five minutes. Tried again, no joy.

Try with all the drive unhooked. See if you canget bios. If that doesnt work then unplug everthing. Leave the CPU and heatsink connected. Unbolt the motherboard from the case and take the motherboard with the CPU and heatsink out. Set it on the motherboards box it came in. Now plug up the PSU, the case wires, one stick of RAM, and the video card. Test it that way to see if the motherboard may have been grounding on the case. Make sure the monitor is plugged into the video card. It will not work plugged into the motherboard. See if you can get into bios.

elbert, appreciate your inputs, tried all - no joy - amazon allowed me to return mobo/cpu/mem and reorder these. I think bad mobo. Nothing I tried would get the system to post. Sometimes you just have to punt it. mahalo, TechSancho
