I was playing csgo today, just like I always do, and for no reason whatsoever, my game started lagging. bad. I went from the usual 200-300 fps to barely getting 80 on cache - a not-so graphically demanding map.
SPECS
i7-6700 - Default CPU Cooler
MSI GTX 1060 - 3GB
8GB Patriot Ram
Asrock h110m-a mobo
evga 500w psu
1tb wd blue hdd

help please, I've even turned down the settings to the lowest and still get frame drops. my mobo did come with a bent pin, which I fixed, idk if it's it affecting my cpu, or if it's my gpu/psu

Solution
Your motherboard is fine, a bent pin straightened won't affect it unless you keep wiggling it to cause a fracture then maybe. But if your system is running fine that wouldn't be the cause.

Be more to do (if running Win10) with the updates both csgo/os/gpu drivers are going through. Since Win10 anniv/creators update and the introduction of xbox dvr and csgo being extremely popular game, those playing it were the obvious people to notice change. Next time this happens check Geforce forums as well as here of course, but Nvidia if you didn't know do have forum for general user feedback on new release drivers.

update - I updated my graphics drivers, which now gets me a solid 120 fps, but the thing is, i'm still not getting the amount of fps I used to before my old driver quit on me. I bought a 144 hrz monitor, and I really wish to figure this out before I get it, so that I can actually run 144hz
