Need help choosing cooler for overclocking the i5 7600k

So I was wondering if there's by any chance that I could get 5 ghz on the i5 7600k with an air cooler like the cryorig h7 and at what temps? Or should I go with an AIO instead like the Corsair h100i v2?

Current Specs:
Gigabyte Z270x-Designare
2x4gb Hyperx Fury 2400 mhz
Gtx 750(waiting for prices to go down before I get the GTX1070/1080)
Seasonic m12ii 620w full modular
3tb HDD
120gb SSD
NZXT S340

You might be able to with a higher end Noctua or the be Quiet Dark Rock Pro. It also depends on the chip as not everyone will overclock the same.

In a nice case like yours, there is no need for liquid cooling.
Two front 120/140mm intakes is all you need to supply cooling airflow.

Look at the $35 160mm scythe kotetsu.

In the review, it competes well with the noctua NH-U12s.
I use the NH-U12s to oc my I5=7600K to 4.9.
My case has only a single 180mm front intake that is half speed.

How well you can do is determined by your luck in getting a good chip.
As of 6/19/17
What percent of samples can get an overclock
at a vcore around 1.4v.

I tested using OCCT which shuts down the test at 85c.
Under normal or heavy use, I see nothing close to that.
I use a noctua NH-U12s with a low speed adapter. It does the job for me.
I think in a good case, any tower type air cooler with a 120mmm fan will do the job.
cm hyper212 is popular, but I am told it is not easy to install.
Cryorig H7 is compact and well received.
Really many others will do.
The key, I think to good cooling is to have a good source of front intake air.
Two 120mm intakes are sufficient.

My canned rant on liquid cooling:

You buy a liquid cooler to be able to extract an extra multiplier or two out of your OC.
How much do you really need?
I do not much like all in one liquid coolers when a good air cooler like a Noctua or phanteks can do the job just as well.
A liquid cooler will be expensive, noisy, less reliable, and will not cool any better
in a well ventilated case.
Liquid cooling is really air cooling, it just puts the heat exchange in a different place.
The orientation of the radiator will cause a problem.
If you orient it to take in cool air from the outside, you will cool the cpu better, but the hot air then circulates inside the case heating up the graphics card and motherboard.
If you orient it to exhaust(which I think is better) , then your cpu cooling will be less effective because it uses pre heated case air.
And... I have read too many tales of woe when a liquid cooler leaks.
google "H100 leak"
I would support an AIO cooler only in a space restricted case.

Your pc will be quieter, more reliable, and will be cooled equally well with a decent air cooler.
