Hi there,

I have been struggling with the issue described in the title above for the past few days. It began when I attempted to add a new SSD to an open SATA port on my machine (For the purposes of installing Linux - This is just a blank drive with nothing on it). I removed my main SSD from it's SATA port, and now it won't boot into it.

This is the problem I now have, I cannot boot into my main SSD (Windows 10 Installation)

To give you some more info about my hardware:

Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 R5
SSD: Crucial BX100 2.5" 250GB SATA III MLC

Afew things I have tried already:

- Change SATA port
- Remove all other drives except for the problematic SSD
- Tweak secure boot and CRM settings in BIOS
- Ensure device is only bootable device in BIOS

When I attempt to boot the device, I get this black screen with the message "Reboot and select proper boot device or Insert boot media in selected boot device and press key"

Can anyone offer advice or a solution to the problem above?

Not on the new drive, no. I have windows 10 installed on my primary SSD which is the one that cannot boot now, but as mentioned appears in the boot list

It is, that is the second screen shot I have posted above

EDIT: I will edit the OP, perhaps there is some confusion as to what drive I am attempting to boot
