Hi,

I want to buy a netbook or ultrabook for surfing, Team Viewer and coding (not compiling). This two are in the same price range in a local store. So, my question is:

Which one I should choose? Which one performes better? Please write your ideas.

Dell Latitude e4310
Reeder w14i (Well this one is a local company, just ships laptops from china and rebrands them as is. It is just like Chuwi Lapbook 14.1 with little differences)

Update: Added links to the laptops.

Solution
For the budget that you described (200-250), there are no "good" laptops in the market unfortunately. The only good option you have is to get a chromebook. :( Here is the *only* decent laptop I found and it looks ancient...

You didn't add links, pics, model no or anything. Add more info please. HP, Dell, etc. We need to consider other parts as well and not just the processors.

When considering just the processors, Intel i5-520m is a lot better than the Celeron n3450 even though the Celeron has 2 more cores than the i5.

i5 uses much more power so expect lower battery life.

I just updated the OP and added links to the laptops. I was confused with processors, and you helped me there. I know i5 eats more power, and I want this laptop to work like 6-7 hours (Not with full features, even if I can squueze it, it will be fine).

I think I should mention one more thing. I plan to remove optic drive, and upgrade HDD with SSD, and may be some ram upgrade from Dell.

Alright sorry if this took long. I was confused which processor the dell had and it took a while to do the research.

The dell has a 540M processor not a 520M. SEE HERE.

The Reeder w14i has a built in SSD but it only has a capacity of 16 Gb. It is like a chrome book. You can't download anything onto it except apps from the windows store. It has an HDMI port where as the dell has a VGA port. Battery life is about 8 hours. It will be fast despite a slower processor than the dell since you can't download, etc onto it. But I simply don't trust the company.

The DELL is a regular laptop with a HDD of 160 Gb Capacity. Even though it will run good enough for a while, it will slow down after downloads, heavy use, etc. If you add an SSD to it, performance will increase significantly but I'm not sure if it supports an SSD. In my opinion it should since all ports are the same but I am not 100% sure. A ram upgrade is possible up to 8 Gb.

So are you going to download stuff onto your laptop or can you live with working on google docs, google slide, google drive, etc..? Do you own another computer at home or will this be for your primary use?

If you want my honest opinion, I would buy some other decent laptop. I will give you more information about other cheap and good/reliable laptops if you are interested.

Wow, I didn't know that. The seller informed me about it as 520m. Plus it is supposed to be a refurbished. I will go check the laptop, but I am loosing my trust. I will update the header.

Yes. It has 16GB of memory. However it is not SSD, but eMMC. It is slower from reguler SSD and soldered into board. Well, fortunately, there is an empty M.2 Sata port inside. So, an upgrade will most likely solve the problem of space. HDMI port is not a big problem, as I will not connect it to any screen. Well, this is the first omputer they made, I don't trust them much either. Unfortunately, I don't have much options.

That's why I plan to upgrade SSD for certain. I have two options for SSD, one port is normal HDD port, and the other is freed port from optical drive. Well, the SSD technology will be slower, but won't hurt much. I have read 16gb is possible, for it should wait though :)

I have another laptop at home. This is not going to be my primary one. I want to buy this because these are lightweighted. I will use this when I travel, when I am in conferences, and when I get cources that lasts at least 6 hours.

I would aprreciate if you would have share any other cheap laptops. I will have to check my stores though :)
