First off here are my specs:
MoBo: MSI b150 gaming M3
Cpu: Intel Dual core i3
Ram: Ballistix 16 g(4x4) DDR4
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce 1060 3gb DDR5
HDD: WD 1TB HDD
SSD: PNY 120gb SSD
PSU: 500W EVGA bronze
OS: Win 10

So. Last night I was updating my PC when the OS froze. I went in and restarted the computer and it went straight to BIOS. I did this 3 times. I went I to my Bios and the SSD(my boot drive with Windows 10) was showing up on my board explorer AS CONNECTED. I reinstalled the OS on my HDD and when I went to disk management and device manager the SSD does not pop up at all. I went to command prompt and tried searching thru Disk list and nothing as well..is it just locked out or is it done for? It can't be connections if it's showing up as connected right?

Solution
Assuming your HDD containing the Win 10 OS boots & functions without problems, connect the SSD as a secondary drive and test its health with a diagnostic tool such as the HD Sentinel program - https://www.hdsentinel.com/ which is an excellent diagnostic program for both HDDs & SSDs.

One of the first things you should always do when you experience problems along the lines you reported is to test the health of the involved drive to determine whether you're dealing with a defective drive. If (hopefully) you're not, then you go on to other troubleshooting steps.
