Recommendation for a CPU

Hi ,

Currently have an Intel I3 4360 and wanting to play battlegrounds in some what decent settings , could someone recommended me a cheap i5 which is in a price budget under £170 which is good or a good second hand i7 ?

There are only a couple of i5's and i7's for your socket:

i5 44xx
i5 45xx
i5 46xx
i7 47xx

Higher model numbers will be correspondingly more expensive, and you get about what you pay for. Pick one out that fits your budget.

There are multiple models of each of those CPUs and instead of listing them all he just put the x's. (Eg. i5-4430, i5-4460, etc.)

^That list includes mobile (laptop) processors as well as desktop, so be sure to ask before you buy if you are uncertain if it is compatible. Try to stay away from the processors with letters as they are mostly low power models, except the K series those are the best.
