Building my first pc need help

Solution
I would go for a z270 mobo and an overclocked CPU. Almost the same price. You will have to buy a better cooler and the one I added is one of the best air cooler.

Since you are using a Z170-chipset motherboard and got some high speed RAM (which pairs okay), I would suggest you take advantage of such overclocking feature by also getting an overclockable CPU such as the i5-6600K or better yet the i7-6700K (instead of the non-OC'able i5-6600 you selected).

If you opt for the "K" CPUs (OC'able), then, you'd have to get an aftermarket CPU Cooler for that. Highly recommended is the Cryorig H7 (or Cryorig H5 Universal if space permits).

If you also want to dramatically speed up you boot time and loading time, you may want to consider adding a ~250GB/~275GB SSD such as the Samsung 850 EVO or the Crucial MX300 to be used as your system drive and paired with you 1TB HDD.

The PSU you selected is also a very good-quality PSU (the SuperNova G2 series), however, its 750W is overkill for your system (even with OC or future upgrades), unless you are thinking multi-GPU/SLI setup in the future, in which case, the 750W deems appropriate. Otherwise, for a single-card setup with OC, a good-quality ~550W (such as the SuperNova G2 550) would have been more than enough.

Total: $1847.19

Cost of parts you don't have yet: 1057.21

You can add an M.2 ssd in the future and upgrade to a 7700k though the 7600k is great for your GTX 1070

Good Luck!
(PS: you can save ~100$ by going for low performance/cheaper parts.

Solution
These changes would save you about $60 on the items not purchased. Plus it includes a great SSD.

if he already has a good power supply, how is he saving money by buying another?

You don't understand the statement. Which items have not been purchased? Only the video card and power supply. Thus excluding those he would save $60 on the rest. I left those in on the off chance he hadn't received those yet and could return them.
