my video card is not working properly and my pc says standard vga graphics adapter

hello. my pc was working fine but the ram got spoiled so i had to change it. now when i did, my aero themes are not working anymore. i cannot not also get to play games.when i go to search for my video card in device manager, my pc says standard vga graphics adapter instead of its real name. i cannot search for my drivers manually because i do not know the model number of my video card because i did not get the chance to know before it changed.all i know is that it needs an ati radeon graphics drivers.i also do not want to search for my drivers automatically.please help what should i do? any answer would be appreciated

Download and run Speccy, it will give you detailed info on your system components. Once you see the exact type of videocard you have, you can download the drivers and install them.

you can also run a program like 3dp chip, which downloads the drivers for you but prefer to NOT download from there .Just see the model and download from the manufacturer site.

sorry for the delay. my friend got me into downloading a driver updater tool known as device doctor and it scanned my pc for outdated drivers and found standard vga graphics adapter to be part.i allowed it to download and install the latest driver known as ati radeon x1720 and everything went fine. my pc is back to normal and now i am able to play my favorite games.thanks for everything guys!sure to write the model number down for later emergencies.
