Hello

So im going to upgrade from my old amd FX to ryzen 5 1600 and i dont know if i should also upgade my power supply. My graphic card is RX 480 and i have liquid cooling with 2 fans (if that even matters). Right now i have Be quite bronze 600 Wats power supply. And should i also change to better quality?

thank you for you answers

It's highly likely that your new Ryzen 5 1600 CPU will draw less power than your old FX CPU, so, your current be quiet! 600W PSU (is it the Straight Power E7 or the Pure Power L8 model?) will have enough juice to power your entire rig.

On the issue of quality, those assumed be quiet! PSU models are low-tiered (3-year warranty, made by FSP or HEC, non-modular, lower quality components, etc.). If you want to get a new PSU that has better quality and reliability, consider any of these PSUs for your new rig:

EVGA SuperNova G2 550 - 7-year warranty, fully modular, by Super Flower

Seasonic G-550 - 5-year warranty, semi-modular, by Seasonic...

If budget is tight, you may also consider these more affordable (but still good quality) PSUs:

i just checked i have an PURE POWER L8 | 630W CM and its 2 years old... even if it is low tier does that means that it can or is slowly damaging my other components?

AFAIK, that model only has 2-year warranty. However, it does not necessarily mean that such PSU would "slowly damage" your other components. It will still be able to power your components, yes. It also should have some protection from over-voltage/current, etc. But the built-quality and reliability of such particular low-tiered PSU could be better (compared to what is available out there in the market).
