New PC Builder, Need Some Help.

So, I don't have all my PC parts for my first build, but I was wondering if it would be okay if I plugged what I had into the power supply, turned the PSU on and tested to see if what I have so far works?

Depends on what you have. In order to fully test it all all you need a cpu, cpu cooler, motherboard, ram, power supply anything else and you're wasting your time

I have all of that, only thing I'm missing is video card, I was just wanting to see if my components were going to receive power

If not a ryzen build then fire it up. Won't be able to judge much with ryzen as it has no onboard
