So as title says this is the first time i have ever really done any serious overclocking and wanted to do some benchmarks, Especially as i just got the 1.0.0.6 agesa update on my Biostar board this morning and got my ram running stable at 3200 easily and want to compare my CPU with 3.9 ghz overclock on 2133 ram and 3200 and see what kind of gains i actually get.....and because bragging rights, Why not?

Also i have G.skill tridentZ 14cas at 3200 (don't judge it was on sale for $40 cheaper then the next cheapest brand when i bought it) and i'm wondering if its safe to push it past that or if i would need new and better sticks, It would be fun to see how far i can safely push my system and get the most out of my hardware.

Thanks for the help.

For a quick benchmark, run Cinebench: https://www.maxon.net/en/products/cinebench/

To compare results, you'll have to knock your ram down to 2133mhz and test and then to 3200mhz and test.

Nothing to knock with that ram, its great ram, I have it too and love it, and yes you can try and push it harder, set voltage to 1.35v manually, set manual timings of 16-18-18-38 and try for 3466mhz, see if it will post and boot, thats Samsung B-Die chips by the way, the best out there.

That RAM is some of the best out there......

I noticed a very small difference with the memory overclocked, using Cinebench R15, Passmark, Geekbench and Firestrike Physics score. There was a slightly larger difference in the CPU score on Timespy, but that's notable across all CPU types, not just Ryzen.

I'm was more referring to the RGB on the ram, I have been catching so much flack because all the parts i got on sale had RGB and my system looks like a Christmas tree because nothing syncs up well so i had to set it all to a solid color, Then i got the G.skill stuff just to add to it lol.

Also thanks for the benchmark and OC tips i plan to play around with settings and see how far i can push things before they get iffy.
