So I upgraded my entire system a couple of months back.

Specs.
I7 7700k 4.7ghz
Asus maximus IX formula
NZXT kraken watercooling
32gb trident 3200mhz ram
M.2 Samsung 960 pro
Some random ssd and hdd
Strix.980ti
Psu- corsair hx850i

So I have been running stable since I upgraded. Temps going no higher than 80 even in p95. But suddenly today I realised my computer was running reaaaally slow. Even with Web browsing. Looking at task manager revealed my computer was under no more load than usual. Maybe 10-12%. However looking and my clock speed I realised why. It was at 0.4ghz and the Temps were exceeding 100 degrees. I shut my pc down straight away. I tried to start one more time and it got to the bios and told me off for high Temps. I shut straight back down. But what I did realise was that my nzxt kraken light never came on. And it wasn't pumping loudly earlier when it should have been. So I think my pump may have broken? I haven't touched it at all since I put it in and it's been working fine. I checked the connections just now and they all seem fine. My pc is somewhat dusty so I will clean it out but I think the problem is beyond dust.

Solution
Does sound like a dead cooler, though its kinda rare. If possible, try using this cooler in a different PC, or use a different cooler on this CPU, and see if either if them works. It could be possible that the cooler isn't receiving power from the PSU or motherboard, in which case returning the cooler wouldn't help much. If you have a different cooler, install it(even a crappy stock Intel cooler) and lower the overclock to the default(note the settings if you want to) clock speed. See if you're still getting crazy temps.

Solution
Turn on the computer and ether pinch the tube lightly or put your finger on top of the pump, you should feel a slight vibration from the pump/water moving. if not then the pump is dead and you need to the get an RMA, buy a new one, or get a good air cooler. AIO coolers are know for dyeing quickly and even coming DOA, this is why I go good air cooler or custom loop
