DVI D 24 1 pins to VGA. Will it work on my 720p monitor?

ok so i got this gt 1030 and it has dvi d and HDMI port but VGA. and i have 720p monitor with VGA port. and revcently i bought HDMI to VGA adapter and after buying it didnt work at all. seems the adapter only works with 1080p monitor. so would DVI D 24 1 pins to VGA work with my 720p monitor without any problem? Thnx in advance for the answers.

A passive adapter would not work. You'd need an active converter, like https://www.amazon.com/gofanco-Pro-DVI-D-Active-Converter/dp/B00RWFT8NG
Same for HDMI, since converting from digital to analog.

No. Judging from pictures, that one is fake.
It is named "DVI-I Male 24+1pin to 15 pin VGA Female Adapter",
but in pictures it's clearly DVI-D connector (without analog signal).

No, that's a passive adapter. It would work with a DVI-I port, but not DVI-D.

VGA is analog, so any passive adapter needs to work with an analog capable dvi interface.
Look at your dvi pins; I suspect you will not see the 4 pins surrounding the flat pin.
The 4 pins are what outputs analog signals enabling you to use a passive adapter.

You will need a more expensive dvi to vga adapter.

No problem. According to the user reviews it should work. The resolution should not matter.
