Everytime i start my PC, it wouldn't boot up normally. Instead, it would boot to the page where they show lots of information like how many usb ports are in-use etc, and the only way i can boot up would be to press F1, entering the bios then pressing ESC and clicking on ''discard changes and exit''. I always have this problem when i boot my computer up at the start of the day, anyone knows what the problem is?

Also, my PC would change back to 1/1/2009 every single time i boot up, i checked my UTC and its correct, i also scanned my computer with malwarebytes premium, hitmanpro and avira antivirus, all telling me that there is no malware. I recently just changed the CMOS battery on the motherboard when it was sent for repairs as well.

I used to have this problem for awhile BEFORE i sent my motherboard for repair, and it stopped after i did a few malware scans. However now even after the scans it still goes on. Help please

Solution

Take the battery out.
Inspect, closely, the contacts. Closely = a bright light and your eyeball right next to it.

Look for some corrosion.
Maybe some electrical cleaner, or maybe just some canned air and blow the gunk out.

How old is your motherboard? Sometimes these symptoms indicate a bad CMOS battery. Check your motherboard manual for how to replace the battery and what battery to use.

You could use a pink pencil eraser to rub on the contacts, then use canned air to blow out the bits of eraser.
