High temps - delidded i5 7600k

Hello, i have delidded my i5 7600k, replacing stock Intel TIM with Coolaboratory Liquid Ultra.
I spreaded well the Liquid over the die.. and a little bit on the heatspreader.
I removed all Black silicone and reglued the heatspreader with High temperature Red silicone.
I placed It in the socket to apply pressure and avoid movement.

My cooler Is a Cryorig H7 Quad Lumi Just bought.

Idle temps: 37/45c

At stock speed.. under aida64, temps are between 55/63 c.

At 4.8 GHz 1.29 v core
They reach 80/85..

At 5 GHz , 1.31 vcore..
They reach 90c

And thats only AIDA. If i test IntelBurnTest..
The temps are Crazy.. about 10c more.

The paste between the heatspreader and CPU Is arctic mx-4.. and It is well spread.. and i have reapplied It 3 times.. making sure the Cooler was correctly mounted.

To me the temps seems a bit too high.. or are they normal?

Ambience temp Is about 25/28c

The case was open on the tests.

System specs:
MOBO: Asus Z270E Gaming
CPU: 5 7600K
RAM: 16 GB (8x2) DDR4 G.SKILL TRIDENT Z RGB. 3200mhz
GPU: Asus GTX 970 Strix
PSU: EVGA 600W 80+

No thats not normal, I would expect 20-30oC lower temps than that at those volatges, I would never of glued the lid back down without testing it, the CPU could of been placed back into the socket and the lid (IHS) held down on top of it with the socket retention bracket, maybe you used too much silicon gluing it back down, and did a worse job than intel, now you need to ask yourself, how you are going to get it apart again.

You've used a much thiner layer of thermal material than Intel did, and sounds like the IHS itsnt touching the die.

When I de-lidded my Haswell, I had it sitting in the socket with the retention bracket holding the lid in place for 3 years, I only glued it down with some epoxy when I sold it, and only very carefully with a very small brush, brushed a tiny spot into each corner of the lid, then tested it, packaged it up and sent it off.

I have relidded it 3 times... making sure there was as little as possible silicone.
The liquid compound was exactly the same as I seen on a video (HARD ocp).
And I added more every time i relidded.. So I don't think there is too little compound.

I can delid again, but I have finished the liquid compound now.

I only have MX-4 and Cryorig CP7 as thermal paste.

Im not saying you've used too little compound, im saying forget about gluing the lid back down, too much silicon possibly holding the lid too high.

Once youve put your liquid ultra on the die, very carefully place the chip into the socket, put the IHS on top, and use the socket retention bracket to hold it in place, dont use any glue.

Do you have any other TIM you can use, I used AS5 whilst waiting for my liquid ultra to arrive and was getting better results than you are.

Ok, I can try that. But since i have no more liquid compound, it is ok if I use the same that is on the IHS?
Or should I put MX-4 while I get another CL Ultra? Thanks.

Use whatever you have available to be honest, anything is going to be better than those temps you're getting now, just make sure you clean off the CLU first.

I did it. Cleaned all the silicone, cleaned and scraped a bit the heatspreader, I used the same Liquid ultra that was still on the die, and the temps are the same.. 3 o 4 C lower.

I'm running Aida now 4.8 Ghz, 1.29 vcore... 3 minutes test and already reached 80c on Core #3 and #4. :(

I try again by removing all the Liquid Ultra, and use MX-4
If i get the same temps, must not be adelid/relid issue.

Update: Cleaned everything. It was a pain to remove all the Liquid Ultra from the cpu die..
Polished the IHS inside and outside, also polished the cooler.
Used MX-4 between Die and IHS.
Sadly, it is the exact same result, or even worse.

I don't know what could be the issue. Any other help is apreciated, thanks.
