I have purchased the following hardware:

Gigabyte Aorus GA-AX370-Gaming 5, S-AM4 AMD

Ryzen 7 1700X Cooler Master MasterLiquid Lite 120

Corsair Vengeance LED DDR4 2666MHz 32GB 2x 16GB, CL16 DIMM, Red LED

After finishing the build, I'm met by an empty screen. Fans and lights go on, but nothing on the screen.

Here's what I've tried with no success:

1: Using onboard graphics card as well as a slot one.

2: Cmos swith

3: Took out the battery for a minute, put back in

4: Tried with only one ram, on all the different slots

Here are the clues I'm seing

1:The led screen on the motherboard says "0d". Which is an udocumented code. But I red somewhere that it might have something to do with ram.

2: I read on corsairs website about the pieces of ram I'd bought was only supported after installing their software called "Corsair LINK" : http://www.corsair.com/en-us/blog/2017/may/ryzen_vengeancedramlighting (but would that be the reason it's unbootable)

Here's my big question

Would getting this ram "Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2400Mhz 16GB" fix my problem, or should i keep trying with the ram i have (Corsair Vengeance LED)?

1. there is no onboard graphics, you are wasting your time there, those ports on the motherboard dont work, so you must use a graphics card, they are there for the future release of AM4 APUs, and you must plug your output leads into the graphics card outputs, you'll be surprised how many people insert a graphics card and still try to use the on board outputs.

2. you ram is a little concerning, have you checked to see if its on the QVL ? ram must be inserted into slots A2 and B2 when only using 2 sticks, however, as they are 16gb sticks, they will be double sided sticks, ICs on both sides, so each one is like running 2 sticks on there own where the memory controller is concerned, 2 sticks is like trying to run 4 sticks.

3. I wouldnt worry about the Corsair Link software, they should still post, im pretty sure thats just for controlling the LEDs.

Try with one stick only in slot A2 but try both sticks, one maybe faulty, also try clear clear the cmos inbetween attempts using the jumper on the motherboard.

Thanks for the advice, I'll get on it tomorrow :)

2: According to Corsairs website It's compatible. I'll keep trying. So you're aying that it might not post because it's 16gb sticks?

The ram as far as I can tell is on the QVL, but heres some information I found of things you can try: http://forum.gigabyte.us/thread/891/ax370-gaming-lcd-error-code
