Hello,

I have encountered an issue with my PC, I'm running an AMD R7 260 2GB with an AMD FX6300 6-core CPU. The issue I'm encountering is that pixelation begins to occur when gaming and even during moderate use when browsing etcetera. I'm unable to diagnose the GPU as the main culprit as it's very difficult to replicate the issue at will, it will just randomly occur. Please refer to the album below containing two videos of the pixelation occurring:

If anyone has any suggestions as to what could cause this issue other than the GPU reaching the end of days, it would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,

Liam

Hi,

This problem is encountered in all gaming scenarios, predominantly more in GTA V however, although Rocket League isn't far behind. I've made sure to leave ample VRAM as to avoid the 2GB limitation, but to no avail, it also occurs on the desktop from time to time. I've reinstalled the drivers on multiple occasions to attempt to amend it, but again, to no avail.

I suspected that artifacting could be the issue, however, the GPU temperatures are nowhere near high enough to cause this, the maximum they hit are around 75 mark. The GPU itself could be defective, the artifacting doesn't occur before playing something like GTA, but remains thereafter, possibly bad VRAM might be the cause?

im assuming that the r7 260 cannot be rma-ed because its been too long? you should try isolating the issue by testing each suspect that you think is causing the pixelation.

The card is out of warranty at this point unfortunately, I've tried stress testing etcetera and seem to be unable to replicate this issue unless it's within a game, I'll be reformatting the HDD with a fresh installation of Windows 10 to see if the OS is possibly corrupted. I'll post back here once I've done this which will be tomorrow as I don't have access to the PC at the moment. Thank you very much for your input, it's much appreciated.
