My PC won't start with my GPU plugged in but runs when i take it out.

That is basically it. When the GPU is plugged is says that there is no signal but the PC is running. I took the GPU out and it runs perfectly. What do?
 
Solution
Does your motherboard have a built in VGA port? If so, try plugging into that and see if you get anything. If so, then it is most likely a setting in the BIOS.

So it looks like the fans, hard drive, etc, is working you just aren't getting anything? Do you see anything pop up on the screen when booting up or does it just stay black completely? You might need to go into your BIOS settings and make sure it is set to use your add-on GPU as your primary video. Do you have on-board video on your motherboard? Does it start using that jack with the GPU still plugged in?

I get a black screen i checked every part in my PC and reconnected it but i will probably have to do some settings in BIOS or just get someone to look at it because i don't understand BIOS very much, thanks.
