Overhaul or just upgrade?

Hey guys! I'm currently a newbie a upgrading a PC so bear with me. I got this XPS 8910 in a rush because my laptop died on me and I needed a desktop ASAP.

It currently has GTX 750 Ti and it isn't enough to run some games such as Star citizen on even mid on RB6. I plan on putting in a GTX 1080 Ti soon and my PSU can only put out I believe 460v unless I'm wrong haha in which case it also means I need to upgrade my PSU regardless to a 750w which would be a safe and a good level correct?

Should I also upgrade my motherboard?

Should I also upgrade to a different case? I'm concerned about the possible heat generated inside by the 1080Ti as I have no experience in this type of video card. If that's the case, is it better to get a new case and grab fans with better RPMs, which means an overhaul right? Or should I just upgrade my fans?
Add'l info: My desktop is sitting on top of my table next to my screen
There are pics of what the inside of the desktop looks like on the amazon link.

TL;DR
Upgrading to 1080 Ti, is a 750v PSU enough?
Upgrade motherboard or not?
Should I just upgrade my current fans in getting this new video card? Or replace and overhaul into a new case + better fans?

All your parts look great except the graphics card and PSU (probably 480W) So far you are spot on. Upgrade the PSU and the graphics card. 750W will be great for you. Though I doubt you will ever need more than 650W.

Yes 750W is more than enough for a gtx 1080Ti. Make sure it has One 6-pin, One 8-pin for the GPU. (Most of them do). Dell haven't provided much info for the mobo but it should be fine. Get an SSD to supplement your gaming experience. You might need a new case since a GTX 1080Ti might not fit into this case. I would recommend a new case with better cooling. Stock fans with the case will be enough.

Note: If you plan on gaming at 1080p@60Hz, GTX 1080Ti is an overkill.

Thanks for the feedback! Thanks for the PSU info :) Will definitely lookout for those pins. And yeah I will def get an SSD a least 256GB. I have have a 1920x1080 Display and want to play on a 144hz to maximize my immersion in sim games and future AAA games, I wouldn't want to come short haha. Guess I'll need to grabe a case and change everything on it. Should I grab a medium or large tower case? Not sure how big a 1080Ti is and for what case size it should be on.

A 1080Ti at 1920x1080 will be an overkill. A GTX 1080 will give you 150+ fps on 1080p and 100fps on 1440p. You can save some money there.
Most cases have "maximum GPU allowance length" in the specs section. An ATX case which is a full tower (recommended) or mid tower will work. Most of them support ATX, mATX mobos.

Thanks for the case info. I also plan on using VR on VR supported AAA games in the near future, so I'll probably swap out mother boards for SLI compatibility and possibly upgrade after 3-5 years again with what's available. I would rather overkill and be ready than be under prepared. Some games have high demand when it comes to processor. I'd rather overkill.

If money is not a problem sure thing. Make sure you get a 7700k or Ryzen 7 processors so that they don't bottleneck your card.
