Im replacing my motherboard and I obviously need to partition my Ssd to install all the drivers for it. Can I do this by booting my PC with a Windows 10 DVD and deleting partition. Im not really sure what to do. Thanks! MB: F2A88XM-D3HP (P0)
CPU: A10-7860k

Upgrading to:
MB:GIGABYTE GA-B250M-DS3H
CPU: Pentium 4600

Replacing motherboard:

First, read and do this:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/20530/windows-10-reactivating-after-hardware-change
http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-3164428/windows-build-1607-activation.html

Create your Win 10 install DVD or USB here:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

You may need to do a full reinstall with the new hardware. Not just the drivers.
So prepare...

Somewhere around the "where to install Windows" process, it should offer an "Advanced Options" link. If you click in that, the install process will give you the option to delete existing partitions, create new partitions and format them as you please. Deleting partitions makes the data installed on them unavailable, so once that's done, it's just a matter of a clean install.

install new mainboard and let windows 10 have a fun booting, chances are high that it will just boot

later you can uninstall old drivers and then add new ones

i did that wiht my last mainboard update, that also came with new cpu, it worked

if it doesn't work, you can reinstall, leaving all the files in there, that way you don't loose the documents and settings and stuff like that

about the windows 10 license, it will ask you to activate because the activation process depends on the mainboard, and you change it so it gets deactivated so you might need to enter the serial key again but if it is a digital rights license you might need to link that license to your hotmail, live or outlook mail account and log in to windows 10 with that, should also end activated again

it depends on what windows license you have

With any major hardware change, you may need to go nuclear.
Full wipe and reinstall.

Prepare for that.
It may not be needed, but if it is...you'll be glad you prepared.

Don't depend on "Keep files and applications" during a potential OS reinstall.

You prepare for it. Have your personal stuff elsewhere and offline.
Just in case.

MERGED QUESTION
Question from zigzagzul : "Which way is the best to partition a ssd"

I need to replace my motherboard and it will have a different chipset. So I need to do a partition before and not after replacing the new mainboard right? Some people are saying to just boot it up and you'll be fine and just delete the old MB drivers and peripherals but I don't feel that it is safe.and also which way is the safest the one I'm doing is inserting a windows DvD and then going to troubleshoot and then delete all my partitions on my ssd and HDD (Win 10 installed on Ssd) Thanks for reading!
