So recently I asked people if I should get an EVGA SC2 Hybrid or a ROG Asus Strix and the most common answer was the EVGA. But I did some looking around myself on benchmarks and now two more cards have come into my view as being decent competitors. Now the four choices are the EVGA SC2 Hybrid, the ROG Asus Strix, the Gigabyte 1080 Ti Aorus Xtreme, or the Zotac GTX 1080 Ti Amp Extreme. The key here is performance/highest achievable fps, I don't mind the sound or look what so ever. Feel free to give other card suggestions if you feel they are better than the mentions ones, sorry if I respond late and thank you in advanced if I personally forget to do so!

NP :) Also its not just you, a lot of people can't believe the pascal cards all clock the same. Its because of two factors A) Boost 3.0 and B) NVIDIA locked down the GPU so much that there isn't much headroom. Now that a few cards with LN2 BIOS have been released that removes the Target Power and Thermal Limit, you can get the GPU upwards of 2400mhz, but only with LN2 and crazy mods. Anyone watercooling and on air are not going to see anything above 2050 for a gaming session.

Think about this; its 12 billion transistors running at 2,000mhz. That is insane and a of heat being produced in that small area is crazy.

They all overclock the same if you don't mind ramping the fans up. So go with your favorite brand or price range and be done with it. Although of the 4 cards i got, each go over 2012 with the FE card actually going the highest with 2037 even with 24/7 folding. From the cards I have and the ones of people I know have, they all settle to around 2000mhz. Some faster than others, plus in games the difference is like 1fps.

if you are not going to use any of the overclocking software than the Strix is going to be the fastest out of the box, though that means very little when it takes 2 seconds to download the companies software and turn on the OC mode for instant 2000mhz.

This has become a real hassle since I've been making these posts with minor changes here and there, really need to get my mind set on one and not look at anything else before it changes my mind. Thanks for the info as well!
