What causes a computer to restart without warning (once in a while) after installed graphics card?

I put in a Radeon R9 graphics card recently. I'm running on Windows 10. Driver is up to date with Windows 10. I just want to know why my computer sometimes restart without giving me warning. The PCI slot engages with no gap. The fans on the graphics card spins. My computer never restarts like this before.

Can it be a bad graphics card? I do have a Evga 600b psu running on one single graphics card so I'm actually running on stronger psu than needed.

But I guess the question is what are the usual cause for a computer to random restart after installing a graphic card?

Solution
That's typical of system with a PSU unable to deliver sufficiently clean power under the extra load, you may need a better quality PSU than EVGA's B-series.

First of all you must say you exact model of your GPU(R9-390) (R9-270X) (R9-280X) ......... . Then your moddel of CPU. (i7-7700.......)

If i dont know these specs. i cant answer you with confidence.

But i'll answer you the most common issues!

1) You are doing some very "Bad" work, like editing on After Effects or Adobe Premier or anywhere else, and your GPU cant handle so much Resoloution.

2) You have put an R9 into a VERY BAD processor. Lets say, you added your R9 with an intel Centrino 1,4GHz. (Lets say)
If you bought a very good GPU, you MUST buy a very good processor, lets say, you can combine R9 with an Intel i5-6600K.
(But if you have a VERY GOOD CPU, you dont have to buy a better GPU. Just to know :p )

3) Your CPU is always in 100% and it overheats into temperatures that your CPU can't handle it and you motherboard obliges to restart the PC to get the heat out.
Solution: Maybe you touched some wires and you removed your CPU fan. If you have done this, it's very easy to fix it. Just reconnect the CPU Fans fan wire into the CPU FAN slot:

4) You have a virus, that fores your PC to restart.

5) I hope that this is the final step and its the most useful i think.
Somehow, you applied an option that "Automatically Restarts Your PC".

A system shouldn't randomly reboot regardless of how old or slow the CPU is. My old 200MHz Pentium MMX was still stable 24/7 regardless of what I threw at it the last time it had a PSU in it, same for all of my other newer PCs.

I apologized for the bad explanation.

My setup:

--FX 6300 cpu

--asus M5A78L-m/usb3

--stock cpu fan. bought a evo212, just haven't installed it. no other additional fan installed

--SSD

--evga 600b

--32g ripjaw X

--Graphics Card:

Correct. Computer restarts mostly when I use Adobe photoshop. Are you guys saying that this particular graphics card isnt for video/photo editing?

Let me know what i'm doing wrong so i can learn to prevent this problem in the future.

Listen to me. I have a very bad future with AMD... I dont think that your CPU is bad because is 6-core and 3.5GHz. But i think that yes, your GPU isn't very compatible with Photoshop and other "HIGH-LEVEL" programs like after effects, animator, audition etc.

I'll suggest you. As @InvalidError said, try to change your PSU with some good brand for a low price. I'll suggest you Cooler Master and BeQuiet. I'll send you some PSU's here and if you want, before you change your GPU, change your PSU with a good of a brand.

Here are some PSU's: (I dont know your local "Best" E-Shop, but mine in Greece, it Skroutz. You can search the names in your E-Shop :D :p

https://www.skroutz.gr/s/10989966/Be-Quiet-Power-Supply-10-500W.html

https://www.skroutz.gr/s/5804836/CoolerMaster-B500-Ver-2.html
https://www.google.gr/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwiRzMfw_oHVAhUCRhQKHSHPA-QQFggiMAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.coolermaster.com%2Fpowersupply%2Fb-series%2Fb500ver2%2F&usg=AFQjCNH0IQRPYS8I_j93uAV3cVdoH2rw4Q

Then, if you buy or dont want to buy a PSU, then please tell me your budget and i'll find you the best deals and products for GPU.
( From Nvidia of course!)

Have a nice day!

Do you know what you're talking about here?

Again, do you know what you're talking about here? That setup can run Adobe programs. Consumer / gaming grade GPUs aren't on the same level as professional grade GPUs (FirePro, Quaddro K, etc) but they can handle professional programs like Adobe CS 5/6. I personally think it's the PSU. The EVGA B series are rather low end PSUs. The PSU is probably not putting out enough amperage to support the GPU. That might be what is causing the random restarts.

Alex,

damn i bought this EVGA 600b $45.00 thinking it was something good that would be compatible with every graphics card. What's the reason why this crappy Radeon R9 ain't working well with photoshop? I don't get why it would restart my computer. I thought worst scenario may just slow down my computer? Plus, EVGA 600b rated pretty good.

I'm okay with $50 psu.

What makes your psu's better than the one I have? specs wise...

My current GPU is an R9 280x 3GB. You wanna talk "high-level" programs?
3D CAD (Rhino3D), Adobe Lightroom, DaVinci Resolve, Photoshop Elements, VisualStudio, HitFilm 4, Muvee Reveal....all with zero issues.

The problem is not the GPU.

Do you have a recommended PSU? I like a PSU that can handle all GPU. This upgrade stuff is making me broke
