Hey everyone, yesturday I attempted my first build, I worked on it for probably 8 solid hours and got it fully assembled. I then plugged it in and found that one of two scenarios happened on start up.
Scenario A: I hear the click of my components starting, but then they stop immediately.
Scenario B: (usually happens if I don't start the computer for a minute or two, but then returns to scenario A) the fans spin and everything starts, but I get a black screen and my motherboard makes a constant high pitched beeping. I made a video of it and uploaded it to youtube so I could share what it sounds like: https://youtu.be/j_AgoP5Rsuc
My builds specs are:
Psu: Evga 650 watt modular
Cpu: Amd R5 1600
Mobo: Gigabyte B350 Gaming 3
Gpu: Evga Gtx 1060
Ram: 16GB corsair LPX 3000Mhz
At first I figured it was a ram issue after hearing about Ryzen's ram trouble so I tried switching the sticks around but didn't find anything that worked, plus I figured that since it doesn't start sometimes it was probably more than that.
Ive also tried pulling the battery out of the mobo.
Ive checked all the psu plugs and they are correct.
So ive gone through most things I can think of, so I thought I'd see if anyone on here could help me come up with an idea of what to do from here.
