Thanks for looking at this thread!

I have a ASUS G750JW

My disk is always at 100% and its making my computer lag a lot. I will close everything running on my computer and it will still be at around 100%. Can anyone tell me what the problem is?

Do you ever leave the laptop on, plugged in to AC, just idle for an hour? Usually constant hard drive usage indicates Programs running (you checked those), processes running, system processes and such which perform maintenance and updates, and last but not least viruses and malware.

So try this, shut down completely, remove battery if possible, power up and reboot, log on and leave the laptop alone for 60 minutes and periodically check to see if the system settles down, run a virus scan, malware scan. Then you may need to use resource monitor to find what process or program is using your disk. Should be around 5% max at idle with no programs running

I dont think its the programs that i'm running. It sort of does calm down after like ten minutes but with the computer I have it should take like under a minute to boot up, not at least 10 minutes for it to actually work. Could it be a hardware problem?

I've already disabled Super Fetch and all of the other things that could be causing this. I reset my computer about 6 months ago to see if that would fix it, since then i've only installed steam, chrome, and discord. It still occurs though. Its like at an idle thing when im not using my mouse at all or keyboard it will drop to about 60 but whenever I start using it, it shoots up to 95-100
