So I was minding my own business the other night.

I was in the process of shutting down my comp but windows got hung up during shutdown. It Hung for like 45 min until I decided to do a hard restart and when I turned my computer back on I was missing 3 of my internal IDE hard drives. I have 4 hard drives and I was missing all the hard drives that didnt have windows installed (I have windows on a smaller ssd drive). I restarted my comp a few times, they didnt come back. I checked disk management and windows can see the drives but says they are not initialized. I tried to initialize and I get an error (see pic). I downloaded minitool partition magic thing, no recognition. Checked the bios, no recognition. Anyone have an idea of how to get my drives back?

Its weird that windows knows the drives are there but my bios doesnt.

Master boot record fail? Thats what Im thinking but how do I repair it if miniTool cant see the drive?

Solution
try other sata ports on your motherboard and other SATA data cable

try booting with ubuntu live and have a look if you can access your drives there

was it set in raid before?

try recuva or pc inspector file recovery
