Help! CPU Choice! Need Inference! AMD R7-1800x | i7-6850k

I have been planning a build for some time now, and my original plan was to go with the i7-6800k. This changed do to the fluctuating prices. Now I have an issue. I have two builds in PCPartPicker, the only difference is the CPU. AMD R7-1800x came out and blew me away, much the hole liine up did. Since its release it has had massive preformance increases. Most of my day is gaming, yet I want to get into video editing and movie production. Which CPU should I buy for my work load, and which will be the best for long term?

No question I'd go with the ryzen build.id probably drop to a 1700x personally they seem to oc just as good as a 1800x. Rememeber you want 3000/3200 MHz ram with ryzen for sure. It's a really solid gaming chip and smashes everything when editing
