Can this build run most games at 1440p, 165fps, and Ultra settings?

Here is my build https://pcpartpicker.com/list/r2rXQV Please give any suggestions you might have.

I want to be able to play new games, such as Doom, Battlefield 1, Rising Storm 2, CSGO at 1440p, 165fps, and Ultra settings

Also I was wondering whether it is worth getting a i7-7700k and a z270 board to overclock, or is the fps boost negligible.

All help is appreciated!

Depends on the games in question. Entirely. You'll hit 1440p 165 in anything single thread like skyrim, or cs:go, you'll get tearing/skipping probably, without vsync/G-Sync in stuff like minecraft, as the monitor will be trying to compete with 500fps or better. Throw in Ashes of the Singularity, and your dude will crawl across the screen in fits and starts, lucky to get 20fps. So 'most all games' is a very broad spectrum, as there's several different types. I7-3770K/gtx970 I get a solid 300fps on a 1080p in cs:go, so I can expect almost identical performance in every other game that's very similar. Metal Gear Solid V, at ultra with 4k DSR I get a solid 60fps at 99%gpu usage, so any game coded similar will get relatively the same. What...

Ultra settings at 1440P is no problem...your frame rate of 165 however is a bit much to ask. They'll be games you can hit 120+ on but there will also be games hitting 90fps could be an issue. If your a fan of heavy filtering and AA then even 60FPS can become a problem in some games. So it kind of depends on your game settings use. But as a whole that is a solid rig for the settings you want. Only thing you could do to kick it up a notch would be to toss in another GTX 1080Ti for SLI. I might also try to get some faster ram. Ideally something 2800mhz to 3200mhz but that would require a different motherboard as well as your boards max speed for ram is 2400mhz. That however may not be worth the money if your on a strict budget to gain 5+% (if your lucky) in FPS.

I have really maxed out my budget, and I can't afford to upgrade the hardware again. But at least, I will benefit with maybe 120 fps at some games and 165 fps on other games because of g-sync right?

EDIT: And I guess I can lower settings on some games to high since the difference between high and ultra isn't very apparent either.

I think you misunderstood what I meant. I meant that because of g-sync adaptive refresh rate, even if I can run a game at only 100 fps, I will be able to see those frames as opposed to a 60hz monitor.

Oh yeah having a higher refresh rate monitor allows that for sure...having G-sync also allows you to have tear/stutter free variable frame/refresh rate which means you don't have to decide on a refresh rate that your game/rig can handle v-sync'd. G-sync is a huge plus no question.

You'll see the 100 fps regardless if the monitor has G-sync or no with a high refreshrate monitor.
I have 144 Hz monitor, doesn't have either Freesync or Gsync. Not something I need.

What that means to you is that you have some games, and depending on what type of games will determine your answer. It could be easy to max settings and have all your games running at 300fps @1440p, or could be that none will get more than 100-120fps.
