I will be gaming with the latest AAA games that came out over the past year and older.
The software that I will be using is Sony Vegas Pro 14 and I dont think I will be using 4k.

I have a budget planned out of $1050 for everything minus the monitor and keyboard/mouse.

Can anyone share what kind of CPU and GPU should I get and whether I would get a SSD or HDD for the video files?

Bit above budget but is completely worth it. It is a very strong performer for both gaming and video editing.
