What is SW single Processor mode ?

my Cpu is an Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 (2.8GHz). But, when I go to the bios settings it says that the sw single processor mode is enabled. What Does this mean? Do I have to disable It? Please Help.

It disables one of the two cores to save power. It shouldn't be enabled by default, so I'd turn it off if I were you. You'll get an instant free upgrade from single-core to dual-core.
