I'm building my first gaming pc this month. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/s8ppsJ +Seasonic S12II-520 F3. Because of the mining the cheapest gtx 1060 6gb costs 280 euros in my country (Slovakia). :/ https://www.gigabyte.com/Graphics-Card/GV-N1060IXOC-6GD#kf I was wondering if it's worth spending that much money on it. However, I noticed an RX 580 4gb card for 235 euros. https://www.msi.com/Graphics-card/Radeon-RX-580-ARMOR-4G-OC.html#hero-overview I want to play games in 1080p 60fps like gta 5, rocket league, witcher 3, battlefield 1 on high or very high settings. I know the gtx 1060 6gb is better but is it worth spending 45 more euros on it?

150 is great, here, you have to get some "bad" products due to high pricing in a budget build. Like, if you are planning to make a 500 usd build, one gtx 1050 ti for 200, and then you are forced to get a G4400 instead of G4560/i3-7100, even the g4560 costs 100 here, and i3 is like 130. So, you have to get some cheap cpu/mobo if you want a better gpu and vice versa. XD, that is the reason I do not have a desktop build yet...

Get RX 580, GTX 1060 is not that good to spend 60 euros more for it when you can get that cheap RX 580! However, its ultimately your choice in the end. I'd always recommend a RX 580 in this case!

Regards

i recommended the 1050ti instead, anything beyond 1050ti right now are currently overpriced / out of stock, if u can find those cards below 300$ though, i suggest u get it, beyond 300$? not worth it
GPUs MSRP in USD: (why i told u getting it beyond 300$ is not worth it)
RX 580: 210$
GTX 1060: 220$
in terms of futureproof though, RX 580 is better, they support dx12/vulkan better, also they had the 8GB VRAM variant which will futureproof very well against upcoming new gen games.

edit: 1060 still wins in most of DX11 games due to better hardware compability (they also had higher price tag so u should expect better performance)

Damn that is so cheap, is that really the MSRP? Well, in my country, India, I get the cheapest 1060 3GB for 350 usd. And RX 580, damn its well over 500 usd just for no reason. I get the GTX 1050 Ti for like 200 usd.
Anyway, yeah the gtx 1050 ti is the best and cheapest 1080p option. It will give good results!

yes that's the MSRP that Nvidia gives, though the reseller will need some profit and money to close off the shipping cost, so that's why it got a lot more expensive in your country

i get my 1050ti for bout 151$ btw, and i'm living in indonesia (which also had a pretty high price increase, though not as bad as india, it seems)
