Only one core is being used

How canni activate all 4 cores in my cpu i am using amd fx4300 in a asus 970 motherboard

I checked using task manager it only shows 1 tried the msconfig it only shows 1 too

Let's look in your BIOS first, to see if processor properly identified....

(Was this drive and current Windows install per chance originally used with a single core processor, or, in some other build?)
