I am looking for someones thoughts on my PC Gaming Build here for $600+. I am very new to PC building and would need someone\'s thoughts and opinions on it.

CPU- Intel Core i3-7100
Motherboard- ASRock Motherboard Micro ATX DDR4 LGA 1151 H110M-DGS
Storage- WD Blue 1TB SATA
Power Supply- EVGA 450 B1
RAM- Ballistix Sport LT 8GB DDR4 2400
Video Card- EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB
Case- Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-ALPHA Mid-Tower + Fan

Any tips or problems in my build or am I good to go? Thanks!

I don't see much of an issue with the hardware components but for your price range that is a very expensive case and the reviews say that the fans aren't that good. If you want to get proper cooling on your GPU, I'd recommend the NZXT S340, not the elite version. It's only $50 and you can use the rest of the money on two 120mm fans for maximum cooling. I have a GTX 1080 inside one of those cases cooled by air and it only reaches a max of 55 C.

I think it looks fine, other than as the user said above, the case is pretty expensive. You don't want a cheap case that falls apart when you poke it with your pinky toe, but when on a budget, your best to just go with a sturdy case that holds everything together.

You will see a CPU bottleneck with that system. I have pretty much the same card (mine is Asus) and while using a Pentium G4560, I get a pretty rough bottleneck in CPU-intensive games. The same will go for the I3. I was watching some benchmark videos before I ordered my CPU, and the I3 wasn't all that far ahead of the Pentium, especially for the price. That being said, it'll run every game at playable framerates, and that I5 upgrade isn't too far away either.

I would recommend either going for the Pentium G4560 to save some cash for an I5 down the road, or get the I5 right now if you can fit it into your budget. Or even go with the I3 7350K, for the higher clocks.

What you've got now is a solid build, but I'm just listing off tweaks that I would change to make future improvements more plausible.

Thanks for the reply, but where do you find that case for $50? I can only find it for 80-90 dollars.

How severe is the bottlenecking? Like severely unplayable or just 30-50 FPS?

Did you verify that H110 motherboard comes with the updated bios version that supports Kaby lake? Because if it doesn't the system will not post. Also with a h110 board the ram will run at ddr4 2133 speeds.
The PSU is not a good unit. Evga budget units are not something I'd recommend.

Nowhere near that bad!

I can play Tomb Raider 2013 at 70+ FPS (with some dips in very heavily scripted areas, but just down into the 60s), the borderlands series at 60+ FPS (with PhysX off), the Source games at 150+ FPS, BF4 at 50-60 in full multiplayer matches... everything I've tried so far has been perfectly playable at 1080P. I even ran GTA V at max, but had dips into the 30's in the city and around grass. I turned stuff down to where the game looks much better than consoles, and still runs at 50-60 FPS.

The Pentium is a beastly little chip. The I3 is a bit better, but IMO not enough to pay the premium. I opted to go for the Pentium, and save for an I5 upgrade since money is tight right now.

I dont believe it comes updated, so what other motherboard do you recommend? And if the PSU is not the best, what else do you recommend? I'm just looking for ideas.

The MSI B250 Mate is what I'm using. Pretty solid board. I think it supports overclocking for K chips, and includes USB 2.0, 3.0, 3.1, and Thunderbolt ports. Plus a PS/2 port. Comes updated, ready for Kaby Lake. I think it's a bit more expensive than the one you were looking at, but I got the mobo, the CPU and RAM for $220 with Promos.

Im sorry to bother you again, I'm just very new to PC building and have a few questions that I couldn't find online. First, when buying an installation disc, why are some like $10 and some are like $100? Because I didn't realize that the installation disk would be quite expensive.

Windows 10 Home from a legit source is going to be around $90 anything significantly cheaper is not from a legit source and can end up being deactivated later as many times they are keys that were not meant for resale, acquired by ill gotten means an resold, or produced with a keygen.
